Welcome to Akta Photography. By accessing or using our website (www.aktaphotography.com) and services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our services.

2. Services Offered

2.1. Studio Services

Headshots and Portraits

Akta's photography studios deliver high-quality images that clients can use for their spotlight or portfolio. These photos are crafted to authentically showcase the client's appearance, offering casting agents an accurate representation of their look.

One-hour session includes three edited images.
We aim to shoot three looks during the session.
Additional images can be purchased at an extra cost.
Edited images are usually delivered within three weeks of receiving the client’s selected favorites.

AktaReels

Akta's reels are showreels designed to highlight a client’s best performance. These reels are intended to be uploaded to the client’s Spotlight profile or portfolio, serving as a professional showcase of their talent to casting directors and industry professionals. AktaPhotography offers two distinct AktaReel options: the Monologue Reel and the Duologue Reel.

Monologue Reels

One-hour session to record one monologue (up to 3 minutes).
Monologues exceeding 3 minutes will be cut to fit within the three minute timeframe.
Clients must source their own monologue.
Clients will work with an AktaPhotography director for their shoot. Clients will be unable to bring their own director.
Final edit delivered within two weeks of receiving the selected take or booking date.

Duologue Reels

One-hour session to record one scene (up to 3 minutes).
One actor will be on-screen, and the second actor will feed lines off-screen.
Clients must source their own scene and acting partner.
Clients will work with an AktaPhotography director for their shoot. Clients will be unable to bring their own director.
Upgrade available for two actors on-screen (£49).
Final edit delivered within two weeks of receiving the selected take or booking date.

SongReels

AktaPhotography SongReels are high-quality recordings designed to showcase clients' singing abilities in a polished and professional manner. We offer two options: the SongReel Audio version and the SongReel Video version. The Pay What You Can SongReels Initiative is available exclusively for the audio version; however, clients have the option to upgrade to the video version after booking.

One-hour session for two 1-minute song excerpts.
Clients must email .wav files for backing tracks to info@aktaphotography.com prior to the session.
Clients will be working with an AktaPhotography director. Clients will be unable to bring their own director/vocal coach.
Final edit delivered within two weeks of the session date.

VoiceReels

AktaPhotography VoiceReels are crafted to showcase clients' vocal talents for the voice-over industry, providing a professional recording to share with casting agents. The VoiceReel service includes an audio recording, with an option to upgrade to a video version for enhanced presentation.

One-hour session to record five 30-45 second scripts.
Clients must source their own scripts.
Clients will be working with an AktaPhotography director. Clients will be unable to bring their own director/vocal coach.
Clients may send specific music or sound effects in .wav format to info@aktaphotography.com.
Upgrade to video VoiceReel available (£49).
Final edit delivered within two weeks of the session date.

Limitless Headshots

AktaPhotography Limitless Headshots provide clients with the flexibility to return for "top-up" sessions, ensuring their headshots remain current and up-to-date.

Initial session includes a one-hour session with three edited images.
Clients can book top-up sessions for 12 months from the purchase date.
Top-up sessions include a one-hour session, three looks, and one edited image.
Reschedule fees apply [please see reschedule fees].
Top-up sessions are subject to legitimate needs (e.g., significant appearance changes such as changes to hairstyle or removal of braces). AktaPhotography reserves the right to question and deny excessive or unwarranted bookings.

2.2. Subscriptions and Memberships

AktaClass Subscription (£49 per month)

The AktaClass Subscription provides members with unlimited access to all standard AktaClass classes and workshops for £49 per month, subject to availability.

This membership does not include access to Pro classes, Pro workshops, or any application-only offerings.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly rolling basis unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

AktaClass Pro Subscription (£49 per month)

The AktaClass Pro Subscription includes all benefits of the AktaClass Subscription, together with access to all Pro classes, Pro workshops, and other Pro-only opportunities.

Membership is available by application only. Applications may be submitted on a monthly rolling basis: Apply Here.
Successful applicants will remain on a monthly rolling subscription until cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

TeamAkta Subscription (£75 per month)

Team Akta members receive:

Unlimited access (subject to availability) to book self-tape sessions.
Free access to all AktaClass classes and workshops (excluding Pro sessions where applicable), subject to availability.
One complimentary service of their choice each subscription cycle.

The complimentary service can only be redeemed if the subscription is active at the time of the scheduled session. If the subscription is cancelled before the booked service date, the complimentary service will also be cancelled.

Subscriptions are charged at £75 per month and renew automatically on a monthly rolling basis unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

Self Tape Subscription (£49 per month)

The Self Tape Subscription provides unlimited access (subject to availability) to AktaPhotography’s self-tape studio for £49 per month.
Cancellation of a booked self-tape session within 48 hours of the scheduled booking will result in a £10 cancellation fee. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in the cancellation of your subscription at our discretion.

Subscriptions renew automatically on a monthly rolling basis unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy below.

Subscription Cancellation & Refund Policy

All subscriptions renew automatically each month unless cancelled.

You may cancel your subscription at any time by emailing info@aktaphotography.com before your next billing date.

Cancellation requests received at least 72 hours before your next billing date will take effect before your next renewal, and no further subscription payments will be taken.

If a cancellation request is received within 72 hours of your next billing date, the upcoming renewal payment will still be processed and the subscription will remain active for that billing period.

Once a subscription payment has been processed, subscription fees are non-refundable.

How to Change or Cancel Your Membership

If you wish to cancel your membership, please email info@aktaphotography.com with the subject line:

"Cancel Membership Before [NEXT BILLING DATE (DD/MM)]: [MEMBERSHIP NAME]"

For example:

Cancel Membership Before 15/09: Team Akta or Cancel Membership Before 03/10: AktaClass Subscription

To avoid your next monthly payment, your cancellation request must be received at least 72 hours before your next billing date.

Class Waitlists

If you would like to join the waitlist for a sold-out class, please email aktaclass@aktaphotography.com with the subject line:
”[Class Date] Class Waitlist”

For example: “21 September Acting for Screen Class Waitlist”.

Joining a waitlist does not guarantee you a place on the class or workshop. Places are offered strictly subject to availability and in the order determined by Akta.

2.3. Coaching & Career Services

Representation Coaching

If accepted, you will receive 3 Representation Coaching calls and a free month of TeamAkta to book in your Self-Tape.

Applicants have 2 weeks to book in their first call. From there, they have 4 weeks to complete the course.
The TeamAkta subscription can be cancelled with 7 days notice via email.
Cancellation within 48 hours of the booked call will result in a £10 charge. No shows cost £20.

3. Booking, Rescheduling and Cancellations

3.1. Customer-Requested Rescheduling & Cancellation

All bookings — including deposits — are non-refundable, except where Akta initiates a rebooking (see 3.2, Company-Initiated Rebooking, below).
Headshots (including Limitless) Portrait, SongReel and VoiceReel Sessions: Can be rescheduled for a £20 fee up to 72 hours (3 days) before the session. This increases to £50 once the 72 hours (3 days) has passed.
AktaReel Sessions: Can be rescheduled for a £20 fee up to one month (30 days / 720 hours) before the session. Requests made between one month (30 days / 720 hours) and 24 hours (1 day) prior to the session will incur a £50 fee.
Requests for any service within 24 hours (1 day) of the session are subject to a £75 fee or loss of deposit.
A second reschedule requested by the customer for any service will result in a flat rate of £50, unless the request falls within 24 hours (1 day) of the session date, in which case this will cost £75. This does not apply to sessions rescheduled by Akta — see 3.2 below.
Lateness by the customer exceeding 20 minutes will result in session cancellation without a refund.

3.2. Company-Initiated Rebooking

On the rare occasion that Akta needs to reschedule a confirmed session (for example, due to illness, equipment failure, or other unforeseen circumstances), none of the fees in 3.1 apply. Instead, the following applies based on how much notice we're able to give you ahead of your original session date:

More than 14 days (336 hours) notice: We will offer you a new session date at no additional cost.
7–14 days (168–336 hours) notice: In addition to a new session date, you will receive a complimentary upgrade to your booking (e.g. additional images, or a 4K delivery upgrade for Reel sessions).
3–7 days (72–168 hours) notice: In addition to a new session date and complimentary upgrade, we will reimburse reasonable travel costs incurred as a direct result of the rebooking, on provision of receipts.
Less than 3 days (72 hours) notice: You may choose either a full refund of all amounts paid, or a new session date plus the complimentary upgrade and travel cost reimbursement described above.

3.3. Membership Booking Cancellations

If you need to cancel a class or service you’ve booked, we require that you do so at least 72 hours in advance of your booking. If you cancel within 72 hours of the class, there will be a £10 late-cancellation fee which is due before you can book and attend future classes.

4. Usage Terms

Clients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during sessions.
AktaPhotography reserves the right to deny service to clients displaying inappropriate, disruptive, or disrespectful behaviour. Clients displaying this type of behaviour will be asked to leave and will not be refunded.

5. Intellectual Property

All content created by AktaPhotography remains the intellectual property of AktaPhotography. When media is purchased from AktaPhotography, the client acquires the rights to use the media but does not own its copyright. The copyright is retained exclusively by AktaPhotography.
Clients may request the deletion of their content by emailing info@aktaphotography.com.
Clients may request the removal of their content from Akta's social media or website by contacting info@aktaphotography.com.

6. CCTV

CCTV cameras are in operation on our premises for the purposes of safety, security, and crime prevention.
Footage is recorded and retained for a standard period of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted unless required for legitimate reasons (e.g. investigations).
In certain cases, if the footage may be retained longer, it is stored securely with limited access and only used for its intended purpose.
CCTV footage is stored securely and only accessible to authorised personnel.
You have the right to request access to any footage in which you are identifiable. We will respond to such requests within one calendar month, in line with data protection law.
We may share CCTV footage with law enforcement or relevant authorities when legally required or permitted to do so..
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and comply with all obligations under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

7. Liability Disclaimer

AktaPhotography is not responsible for errors, omissions, or delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
If a client falls unconscious under any circumstances during a session, it is our company responsibility to call an ambulance no matter what the client requests.
Clients are responsible for sourcing required materials (e.g., scripts, monologues, acting partners, backing tracks).

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
